Fun Oktoberfest facts: 
 
1. The name is misleading, probably to mess with foreigners. It's in September for the most part.

2. More than 6 million people attend it annually – can you imagine how many it would be if they got the name right?

3. Don't say "I'm going to Oktoberfest." Everyone will know you're a tourist. Say your "going to Die Wies'n" and people will think you're a local.
4. It's been cancelled 24 times in 204 years – so you have a chance.

5. Need a stamp? Oktoberfest has its very own pop-up post office. Apparently 130,000 postcards and gifts were sent from it last year.
